Day 45 - July 29 - Kadota SD to Blue Mounds St Pk MN (Luverne)

This was mostly a travel day. 

When we reached Sioux Falls SD we searched out a Best Buy (with Brent's help) and had the camera's cord checked out to see if it was functioning, or, were we having trouble with the computer's USB link? Either of these issues could have been the cause of our failure to download pictures from the camera to the computer. Of course, as is consistent with one of Murphy's Laws, if it didn't work for me, it would work for the Geek - and it did. Soon as he hooked up the two instruments they talked to one another. The tech did agree that the cord's connection to the computer was a "touch" loose, so he suggested I used the other USB port (which I didn't know was there). 

So now that we have all the pictures imported to the computer, I have been trying to get them organized so I can spend the time at a WiFi site to add pictures to the last 15 (or so) days of blogs. 

We've travelled through prairies and farmland and rolling hills for what seems like forever. And, we've also been seeing intermittent fields with those giant windmills - 100's of them. Sometimes they are running, which makes sense because the winds blow constantly across the plains. And, sometimes they all are not running, which makes us ask "why not?", there's plenty of wind.

As for the weather, we've had cloudy days. No rain, to speak of, but the days are cooler than they'd been when we were further west. Nice for traveling and sleeping at night.
